Advancing the agenda

Digby had a great idea this morning. He pointed out that we progressives haven't advanced our agenda one iota since the Republicans have come to power even though we have spent millions upon millions of dollars financing losing election campaigns. Why not turn that money to a better use -- use it to bribe Republican legislators to pass bills promting our agenda. After all, they seem to sell themselves pretty cheap. Gee, a French commode for legislating national health care. How about that?
