Prior restraint on publication

The UK's Guardian has the following statement about the new Abu Ghraib photos being published in Australia.

There were reports Washington was trying to prevent the new images being broadcast in the US.

Didn't we go through this question of prior restraint on the press before with the Daniel Ellsberg Pentagon Papers incident? As I recall (corroborated by Wikipedia), the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the government could not prevent their publication.

But, this government doesn't give a (pick your expletive) about what the Courts have ruled. Unfortunately, this time around, the press has lost its private parts and doesn't dare confront the White House.
