Final nail in the coffin of the MSM
Last night I tuned into PBS' Washington Week with Gwen Ifle. I paraphrase her first paragraph:
"In a reversal of their usual roles, on the immigration issue the Democrats are proving to be the 'get tough' party whereas the Republicans are proving to be the party of compassion."
Fearing I would throw a brick through the TV, I turned it off.
We must be living on two completely different planets! As I understand it, the Republicans are arguing over two equally flawed positions; one that locks everyone out, builds a wall, and throws out the 11 million illegals who are already here; the other that creates a permanent slave class with no rights and no chance of citizenship. The Democrats, on the other hand, are largely supporting the still flawed, but much better proposal that passed the Senate Judiciary Committee, in which the illegals are given a shot at working their way to citizenship.
And, which party is the party of compassion?
So much for PBS as the honest purveyor of the facts.
