A day like all days

It's becomming apparent that Bush's speech last night didn't win him any friends and may have actually made him a few new enemies. The crazies on the right are all over his case today. See Glenn Greenwald's summary. And, I doubt many on the left have a favorable view of sending in the National Guard. Indeed, even many to the right of center don't like it.

So, what did he gain? It looks like nothing was gained and much was lost.

So, as Walter Cronkite used to say when he hosted the show You Were There, "What kind of a day was it? A day like all days ..."
