The "New" Gore in 2008?

The Wall Street Journal talks of growing speculation that Gore will run again in 2008:

For former Vice President Al Gore, a rash of favorable publicity surrounding this month's opening of his movie "An Inconvenient Truth," and the growing political resonance of its subject -- global warming -- are stoking the most serious speculation about a Gore political comeback since his loss in the 2000 U.S. presidential election.

Given the firey speeches the "new" Gore has made in the past year or so, I suspect he would make a much better candidate than the "old" Gore of 2000. And, I think he'd make a much better candidate than Hillary, who still won't say what she believes about anything. Hillary is suffering from the same disease that killed the candidacy of the "old" Gore. The "new" Gore seems to have recovered from that disease. Let's hope recovering provides him with permanent immunity.
