Bush supports tax fraud by the rich
Today we learn about tax cheating by the rich from the NY Times:
Curious, isn't it, that only a few days ago [behind subscription wall] we learned that Bush was forcing the IRS to lay off most of its staff that audits the tax returns of the rich?
I guess Rethuglicans hate taxes so much they think it's just fine to break the law to avoid paying them.
So many superrich Americans evade taxes using offshore accounts that law enforcement cannot control the growing misconduct, according to a Senate report that provides the most detailed look ever at high-level tax schemes.
Cheating now equals about 7 cents out of each dollar paid by honest taxpayers, as much as $70 billion a year, the report estimated.

But I hadn't seen this one. Really disgusting.
But at least their charitable donations will go up as they pay less in taxes and we won't need government-funded social-welfare programs. Eh?
