Bush supports tax fraud by the rich

Today we learn about tax cheating by the rich from the NY Times:

So many superrich Americans evade taxes using offshore accounts that law enforcement cannot control the growing misconduct, according to a Senate report that provides the most detailed look ever at high-level tax schemes.

Cheating now equals about 7 cents out of each dollar paid by honest taxpayers, as much as $70 billion a year, the report estimated.

Curious, isn't it, that only a few days ago [behind subscription wall] we learned that Bush was forcing the IRS to lay off most of its staff that audits the tax returns of the rich?

I guess Rethuglicans hate taxes so much they think it's just fine to break the law to avoid paying them.

But I hadn't seen this one. Really disgusting.

But at least their charitable donations will go up as they pay less in taxes and we won't need government-funded social-welfare programs. Eh?
