Bin Laden in safe haven

Pakistan says it won't arrest bin Laden as long as he behaves.

Major General Shaukat Sultan Khan, press secretary to the president of Pakistan, tells ABC News that -- if found -- Osama bin Laden won't be arrested, as long as he promises to behave like a "peaceful citizen."

Hmmm. Bush said something like " And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."

The last country that agreed to harbor bin Laden was Afghanistan. Of course, they were weak and puny, so the big bully felt comfortable stomping on them. Pakistan has nukes. Will the big bully stomp this time? I doubt it. Bullies only pick on the weak and puny. They don't have enough guts to pick on someone their own size.

(Not that I'm advocating an invasion of Pakistan.)
