Ya don't say, Bill?
Pearls of wisdom from Bill O'Reilly back in 2003:
So, how many have been killed so far, Bill? Here's OUR tally!
Nobody can predict the outcome and aftermath of any war. But we can learn from history. Evil has a way of killing people; that's a fact. And the only way that evil will be stopped is for just and courageous people to confront it.This, courtesy of a column in Media Matters pointing out parallels in O'Reilly's "X=Nazis" rhetoric vis a vis Iraq in 2003 and Iran in 2006.
So, how many have been killed so far, Bill? Here's OUR tally!
- American Deaths, since war began (3/19/03): 2684; American Wounded, Official: 19945
(source: http://www.antiwar.com/casualties/index.php#Iraqi) - Civilians reported killed by military intervention in Iraq: between 43258 and 48035 (source: http://www.iraqbodycount.net/)
- (OK, I know that the sources would not likely be Bill's choices, but he doesn't even care to count, I reckon.)
Gotta love that American-style evil, Bill. We are so much badder than ol' Osama.
Why is it that Bill complains about fascism only among "Islamists"? Somebody-- a lot of us somebodies-- needs to stand up and stop the evil being done by the fascisti in this country. Obviously, not Bill: he'd have to "learn from history" to do that.
