It's the cover-up, stupid

It's the cover-up that gets them every time. It's great fun to watch the Republican Congressional leaders scramble to get their stories in tune. Tom Reynolds says he told Hastert about the pedophile. Hastert said he didn't know about it. Shimkus says that both he and the Clerk of the House saw the e-mails. Shimkus' office says he didn't see the e-mails. Hastert's office says Alexander never provided Shimkus copies of the e-mails. But, Shimkus says he saw them.

Unluckily for us, this happened over a weekend, so no one is paying attention. Question: Will the story have legs? My guess is only if the story gets juicier. So, let's squeeze the orange a little bit longer.
