A rant about John Kerry

In 2004 I contributed my $2,000 to the Kerry campaign. So did many, many others. And many, many gave smaller contributions. At the end of the campaign, we learned that he still had more than $5 million in his campaign war chest that he hadn't spent. I was pretty ticked off that he hadn't spent the money he'd been given, particularly when he saw how close the race turned out to be. Hell, anothere million or so in Ohio could well have made the difference. Now we learn that he's still sitting on that $5 millioni and is refusing to give any of it to the various Democrats who are running in this year's elections even though he's been asked to do so by the Democratic party.

Dammit, I didn't give that money to Kerry so he could personally control it and use it however he pleased. I gave it so he would spend it on his 2004 campaign. Failing that, giving it to the Party would be my second choice. But, I don't want my money to go toward a Kerry primary fight in 2008. Hell, I didn't want the man to win the nomination in 2004. I certainly don't want him in 2008.
