Spinelessness personified

Hastert's news conference in brief. "I did everything just right. It's the fault of the Democrats. So there."

Is anyone going to swallow that crap? I doubt it.

It's hard to imagine a more spineless group of people than these Republicans. If you listen to them, you'd think that Foley was under the spell of a crazed Democratic ogre who ordered him to go after the children so they could blame the innocent Republicans. It's funny though. The facts just don't fall that way. Even the outing of this was by a Republican, not a Democrat.
