What is not Clinton's fault?
From the Albany, NY Timesunion:
Yes, and the death of my last dog, back in '88, was Clinton's fault too because he hadn't invented a cure for old dog aging.[Rep. John] Sweeney [R-NY], meanwhile, made stops around the district. After an announcement at the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Malta, he defended his record.
"The deficit is actually a result of a recession that began in his [Clinton's] administration," he contended. "We are exponentially paying down the deficit in an accelerated time frame."

"We are exponentially paying down the deficit in an accelerated time frame."
Huh? According to the U.S. National Debt Clock, "The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $1.62 billion per day since September 30, 2005."
Something looks close to exponential alright, but it ain't a "paying down."
