Democrats cave to “The Anti-Plaintiff Lobby,” too

This report at TomPaine.com by Stephanie Mencimer reminds us that Democratic victory does not mean all will be well. Democrats themselves have succumbed to relentless lobbying trying to convince Americans that despite enormous evidence to the contrary, there is some kind of “lawsuit crisis” besieging American companies (as well as doctors who were alleged to be the victims of a “malpractice crisis.”) These alleged crises are every bit as phony as the so-called Social Security crisis, and are the product of 20 years of the most thorough-going propaganda by the well-funded right-wing machine.
