The Republicans begin to whine and cry.

TPM Muckraker informs us that the House Republicans are now demanding a "minority bill of rights" that looks exactly the same as the one the Democrats proposed several years ago and the Republicans ignored. The poor babies are worried that the Dems might treat them the same way they treated the Dems. Poor babies! Whine and cry.

One commenter said something like, "fine, as long as it takes effect January 2009." I'd go for that too. Meanwhile, let's treat them like the dirt they treated us as. I think the American people are smart enough to figure this out.

The response is simple, and does not need to be ostensibly confrontational: "We will give it serious consideration, but we cannot allow it to derail the bills we have promised the American people."

Followed by, "In fact, I'm sure the Republican leadership would not want it to be used that way."
