Why Hillary won't admit she was wrong on the war
David Kurtz at Talking Points Memo wonders why it is that Hillary can't simply admit that she made a mistake when she voted for the war and concludes that perhaps, like Bush, she simply can bring herself to admit to mistakes.
Perhaps he's right, but I suspect there are two other reasons -- the same two reasons she voted for the resolution to begin with:
1) Particularly as a woman, she didn't want to be labled as a weak-kneed anti-war Democrat.
and
2) Particularly as a New York senator, she didn't want to get on the wrong side of AIPAC.
Those reasons are probably still controlling her thinking today.
