Dems should compete with mutual praise, Part II
Ask and you shall receive. (“Clinton, Obama and Edwards should compete – in praising each other. And then let it be.”)
On Letterman last night, Obama offered up a great image for running the race hard without ripping up other Democrats. Besides praising the other candidates in general terms, he said it’s as if they are all competing to be the first string quarterback on the same team. You don’t compete by ripping your opponent. You do your best with what you can control, you say all the right stuff about the people you are competing against, no matter how much it kills you, and you support the team – period.
