Get our troops out from the middle of civil war crossfire!

Democrats need to keep making the case on the War, not let Bush, Cheney and the mouthpieces keep getting away with uttering unanswered talking points. Always saying this is what the American people want – so say the polls – is not a reliably sufficient answer. That's the current Democratic talking point. Necessary, yes, but sufficient, no.

For example, Cheney today said Democrats need to understand a simple proposition: you can’t "win a war" if you announce ahead of time when you are going to quit.

He's playing the "loser" card -- the fear of our country "losing." It works with a lot of people. The answer: “The American people are finally starting to realize this is George Bush’s war. It has nothing to do with the war on terror. Dick Cheney talks about ‘winning,’ because he and Bush are too gutless (OK, afraid) to admit what a horrendous mistake they made and the lies (OK, falsehoods or even more wimpy, deceptions) they told to get us into it. The bottom line is, after four years, more than it took to beat Germany and Japan in World War II, we have done everything we can do: No country can ‘win’ another country’s civil war.”

Keep it simple, idiot. But somebody's got to be willing to take on the President and the Vice President personally now, if they are going to get their "frame" through the mainstream media and before the public. Lord knows, they have not hesitated to get personal, and they deserve it. The people deserve it, too.
