Slow news day
Methinks the "analysts" are a bit slow of the uptake here:
It's pretty clear to any idiot that the questions have not only been raised already, but for most of us, the questions have been answered. The strategy is clearly NOT WORKING.
So, what would lead a respected news organization like the Christian Science Monitor to report something a mind-numbingly un-newsworthy as this?
Yeah, true, it is a slow news day, which is probably the reason I linked to it too.
Washington - May's spike in the American death toll in Iraq is the result of the administration's new approach in Iraq – as much as it is the enemy's own "surge" of attacks against US forces.
In strategic terms, it's called taking it to the enemy.
But analysts warn that if the number of US casualties continues at their current high level through the summer, that could raise questions about whether the strategy is actually working.
