Abramoff visits now a state secret
Whenever something potentially embarrassing for the president arises, the White House invokes the "state secrets" argument. Here we go one more time -- this time over how many visits Abramoff made to the White House:
I guess the thing is that Abramoff was actually an undercover CIA operative, so they can't reveal his real job.
Oh, I forgot. It's just fine to out CIA agents, isn't it? I guess there must be another reason.
The Bush administration is laying out a new secrecy defense in an effort to end a court battle about the White House visits of now-imprisoned lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
