Dems cave again

The Dems decided to give the Thuglicans one of their most cherished prizes -- more tax breaks for the wealthy. Rather than re-writing the alternative minimum tax to exclude middle income families, they simply suspended the tax altogether, thereby handing a huge windfall to the wealthy. That, together with more tax breaks for business, is what's been added to the bailout plan to get it passed. Maybe we had to do that, but it stinks to high heavens.

By the way, I don't include the increase in deposit insurance among the additions I object to. I think that was needed.
