McCain leads if not in the Polls, in Lies
If a tally of lies by the two sides were compared, McCain would lead by 5 to 0.
The lies by McCain on TV, Press and in the debates about Obama are:
1. He voted for oil company tax cuts. False, to overcome GOP opposition to clean energy initiatives, he voted for a bill containing clean energy with a oil tax cut rider.
2. He would raise taxes. False. His plan is to cut 95% of American's taxes by an average of $2000. He has posted the plan everywhere. McCain would cut on average of $1000 per family. McCain thinks the rich need more money so he is cutting their taxes by $300 bil.
3. His Health Plan is a mandate. False. Per the 10/8 debate, families and businesses can opt out.
4. Obama is wrong on foreign policy. He was right not to invade Iraq. There were no WMD's. and no Al Queda. Now, there is Al Queda, 4000 dead Americans, 80,000 dead Iraqis and $700 bil wasted. Six years later, Iraq has less power, education, banking, and medical capability than before US invasion. McCain was for all of this and was wrong.
5. Obama would raise health care costs. False. He would cut them by $3000 average, where McCain would give a tax rebate of $5000 then tax health benefits $12000 resulting in a net tax increase of $7000 which does not include the increase in deductables and copays that would come with the McCain plan.
If you can cite any lies Obama has told about McCain, cite them. What Obama has said is that in 26 years in the Senate, McCain is no maverick (that McCalin and Palin claim to be) and has never voted for legislation that would help 90% of Americans which is fact:
1. Regulation of the financial industry that would have prevented the current debacle. McCain was one the the "Keating Five" that fostered the collapse of S&L financial companies
2. Health care benefits for children
3. Tax cuts for any other than the rich
4. Benefits for military (despite is claim he is for them).
5. Minimum wage hike
6. Equal pay for women equal jobs
