Poll: Bush Approval Sinks

Thie new Zogby poll puts Bush's approval rating at only 38%, so maybe the "uptick" in the polls that everyone was touting a few days ago is empemeral. In fact, in this poll, only 52% of born again protestant Christians give him a favorable rating.

I admit that I'm quite happy about this. Any number of people have been saying that, no matter what side you're on, you can't like having a weakened president. Well, yes I can! The weaker this president is, the better. It means he won't be able to accomplish as much of his agenda as he otherwise might, and that will be a good thing for this country. True, it's a bit scarey to have a weak president if we are attacked, but this president wouldn't do anything worthwhile if we were attacked anyway. Just like the last time, he'd run to an undisclosed location and hide.

A hat tip to Americablog for this one.
