DJ Leaves studio to save caller
Every once in awhile, a story comes along that touches something deep down. Today, the UK's Guardian reports this:
A DJ at Liverpool's Magic Radio 1548 abandoned his studio to rush to the aid of a caller who died after suffering a suspected heart attack during a phone-in today.Peter Price jumped in a taxi and was at the home of Terry Watts in Liverpool's Old Swan district within 15 minutes, while Magic Radio 1548 filled its airtime with music.
Neighbours who had been alerted by Price's broadcast broke down the front door as the DJ arrived to find Mr Watts dead in a chair with the phone by his side.
