"Insider trading" legal for Congress

Earlier today, I commented on the story about Frist and DeLay having day traders in their offices. They pass on information about how Congress in going to vote on bills to the day traders who then profit from early access to the information.

It turns out that this type of activity is perfectly legal, since Congress, in it's infinite wisdom, is exempted from the insider trading rules. Nice job guys! It's no wonder you all get rich so fast.
