Street thugs in Republican clothing

I haven't had much to say about the brew-ha-ha over the cartoons of Mohammed mainly because I think both those who have published them and those who demostrate against the publication are over-reacting. However, I do find it somewhat amusing that the same wing-nuts who are calling for the government to shut down the New York Times for publishing the domestic spying story are waving the banner of "freedom of the press" to criticize the Muslims. Their venting has nothing whatsoever to do with freedom of the press. This is just one more excuse for them to vent their racial hatred, once directed against Afro-Americans and now directed against the Arabs/Muslims (any dark skin will do, I guess, if you want to vent some hatred). These guys are street thugs, just like the skin heads in Europe.
