Supremes make a good decision
The Supreme Court held today that calling a black man a "boy" can be evidence of discrimination. The Court rebuked the 11th. Circuit for having found that calling an African American man a "boy" is not evidence of discrimination unless a word like "black" preceded the apellation. In the case against Tyson Foods, the plaintiffs had won their discrimination case at trial, but the decision was overturned on appeal, when the 11th. Circuit found there was no evidence of discrimination.
Anyone who was sentient during the past three decades has to know that calling an African American a "boy" is almost as much of a racial insult as using the "n" word. It's nice to see that this Court has at least figured that out, despite (or who knows, perhaps because of) the presence of Roberts and Alito.
The Court also agreed to hear a late term abortion case, so who knows where that will come out, but let's give credit when it's due.
