Mary McCarthy denies leak

Mary McCarthy denies that she was the source of the leak:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The CIA officer fired for unauthorized contacts with the media denies being a source for The Washington Post's award-winning story on secret CIA detention centers.

''She did not leak any classified information, and she did not have access to the information apparently attributed to her by some government officials,'' Washington lawyer Ty Cobb, who is representing veteran CIA analyst Mary McCarthy, said Monday.

Apparently, many of her associates agree that she wouldn't have had access to the information attributed to her.

So, perhaps again, this administration has retaliated against a long-time employee for having contributed to the Democrats. What a convenient scapegoat. First, you get to screw a woman. Second, this way you can get the blathering idiots on the right to indict the entire Democratic party for treason because one of their contributors is, perhaps falsely, accused of leaking classified information.

[By the way, just can't help noting the name of the lawyer. I used to have a homerun ball signed by Ty -- the real one. Unfortunately, I gave it to my son who lost it.]

And let's hope this Ty Cobb comes in with his spikes as high as the first one did.
