Support the troops Military Industrial Establishment

This appears to be what Republicans mean by supporting the troops:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Senate measure to fund the war in Iraq would chop money for troops' night vision equipment and new battle vehicles but add $230 million for a tilt-rotor aircraft [the Osprey] that has already cost $18 billion and is still facing safety questions.

So, just who is it that builds the Osprey?

According to the Department of Defense, "The aircraft's prime contractors include Boeing Company's helicopter division in Ridley Park, PA, and Bell Helicopter Textron of Fort Worth TX."

So, I guess "supporting the troops" actually means supporting Boeing and Bell Helicopter and their execs.
