Constitutional crisis looms

For what it's worth, Sen. Specter has called for hearings on the NSA program with the heads of the Telcos.

On Capitol Hill, Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he would call phone company executives to appear before the panel “to find out exactly what is going on.”

You can bet that the government will try to prevent the Telco chiefs from revealing anything about this program on national security grounds. And, they'll probably be successful, at least in delaying the hearings for months or years, but we're clearly getting closer and closer to a real altercation over the Constitutional crisis the prez has precipitated.
