Back from an out-of-town wedding.

Thanks to John Avarosis over at AmericaBlog, I re-read this article about the court-martial of the guys accused of gang raping an Iraqi girl and then killing the girl and her family. Buried deep in the article, you will find this shocking sentence.

Defense Attorney Captain Jimmie Culp was blowing chewing gum bubbles while Yribe [one of the defendants], sitting to his left, began sucking on a red lollipop during the testimony.

The article then continues on without further comment as if this kind of despicable behavior were par for the course in courts-martial.

What kind of justice system is this? And, they say the military tribunals Bush wants to create are even worse!
