Bush takes a blow below the belt

I'm hearing via Tom Oliphant on Al Franken's radio show that Bush had a really bad day on the Hill today. He went there to try to twist the arms of Graham, McCain, and Warner on his Kangaroo Courts bill. Instead, McCain apparently managed to line up to former Joint Cheifs of Staff, Colin Powell and Gen. Vessey to file comments opposed to the Bush bill and timed them for release just as Bush arrived. Given the Bush/Rove tactics in elections, it's about time somebody hit him below the belt, particularly when it comes from his own party.
