Tim Russert lies again

Watching the Brown-DeWine, Ohio Senate debate. Pumpkinhead (Tim Russert) said point blank to Brown, "Well, you know its a fact that Abramoff gave a third of the money to Democrats." Brown got sandbagged and said, "maye so, but I didn't get any of it."

The fact is that not one cent of Abramoff's money ever went to a Democrat. This myth that it's both Republicans and Democrats who took money from Abramoff got bought by the press and they simply can't get it out of their pumpkinheads. It plays too well to the he said, she said game they want to play.

The money that gets included to come to this lie is money from Abramoff's clients -- the Indian tribes. There is absolutely nothing intrinsincly wrong with Indian tribes giving money to the Democrats. But in the never ending search by the press for things to criticize the Dems about, they lift whatever talking points the Thuglicans give them, true or not.
