Rove out?
Rumor has it that Rove is on his way out:
I'll be very surprised if this president does anything to look bipartisan. What he will do is try to claim it's the Democrats who are partisan.
As Kissweb says in the post below, no matter how reasonable our objectives, the chattering class is going to call us partisan. So, screw them. Let's be as partisan as we need to be to throw a monkey wrench into Bush's plans for the next two years.
If Rove is on his way out, it's not because Bush wants to be bipartisan. It's because Rove finally proved convincingly that his so-called invincibility in winning elections isn't. Still, I doubt Bush will fire him.
The White House Bulletin, a service of Bulletin News, reports that White House senior political adviser Karl Rove — aka “Bush’s Brain” — may soon be on his way out:The rumors that chief White House political architect Karl Rove will leave sometime next year are being bolstered with new insider reports that his partisan style is a hurdle to President Bush’s new push for bipartisanship. “Karl represents the old style and he’s got to go if the Democrats are going to believe Bush’s talk of getting along,” said a key Bush advisor.
