Maybe the most astounding statistic from the election: in all Senate races, the vote in favor of the Democrats was 57-43%. That, indeed, is a thumping.

I can hear the wheels humming: “Yeah, but even you lefties should realize that includes Hillary’s big win in a big state, so the results are skewed.” Well, apart from the question why someone in New York should be considered less important than other Americans, take Hillary out and it’s ---- 56-44%. That, indeed, is a thumping.
