Wishful thinking?
Two polls, one from MSNBC and one from ABC/Washington Post were released today, both showing in different ways that the Republicans are rapidly closing the gap. Question: Do you suppose it's in the interests of these news organizations to "fix" their polls in order to show a "close horse race?" After all, if the outcome was a foregone conclusion, there wouldn't be much interest in their election coverage. Or, is that just wishful thinking on my part?

What could be causing the momentum shift? All I see is the "Dems will increase taxes" refrain. Does that still work, and why did we not anticipate it and shut it down ahead of time?
