Getting depressed
The latest Senate polling by MSNBC (Mason-Dixon) is a bit depressing. Linc Chafee has taken back the lead in Rhode Island. Corcker is pulling away from Ford in Tennessee. Talent is catching up to McCaskill in Missouri (only a one point lead there). Conrad Burns has caught up to and passed Tester in Montana. In Maryland, Steele is catching up to Cardin (within the MOE). And, in Virginia, Webb and Allen are essentially tied.
It looks like we pick up seats in Pennsylvania and Ohio. We could very easily lose a seat in Maryland. The momentum is in the wrong direction in most of the rest of the seats. So, we could very easily end up with a net gain of only one seat. When Lieberman switches parties, that goes away too.
I never thought we'd win the Senate, but I thought we'd at least pick up several seats, so this is pretty bad news.
