Canada uses U.S. no-fly list

I found the following comment to a post at TPM Muckraker on Canada's apology to Maher Arar (the guy the U.S. kidnapped and sent to Syria for torturing) rather interesting:

Canada uses the same DHS watchlist for screening its own domestic passengers.

The Canadian government hasn't been able to put together a similar list.

There has been significant contraversy on the matter - as Canadian citizens wonder why the US has a say on who travels on their domestic flights.

I'd be interested if Simon, our resident Canadian, has anything to say about this. Frankly, if I were a Canadian, I'd be pretty damned upset about it. Hell, I'm pretty damned upset about having the crazy list here.
