Drudge has egg on face

The House is not in session today. Matt Drudge (to whom I will not link) says this is because the Democrats wanted to day off because of football games even though they had promised to lengthen the House's working hours. He snarks about their first "100 hours" never starting.

Apparently, however, the real reason the House is closed is that the Republicans requested it and the Democrats demurred as a matter of comity. Frankly, I would hope the Dems don't demur too often to Republicans' requests. Meanwhile, though, let's rub it in Matt Drudge's face.

Just one more instance where the right wingnuts jumped the gun by publishing rumors.

Note: I've chosen to believe Raw Story on this instead of Drudge. If they prove wrong, I guess I'll break an egg on my face or something.
