Moscow- In the dispute over the proposed US missile defence system Russia has threatened to unilaterally withdraw from a treaty on the destruction of short- and medium-range nuclear missiles, a report said Thursday. General Yuri Baluyevsky, head of the Russian general staff, said that Russia's decision depends on the future behaviour of Washington, Itar-Tass news agency reported.

Frankly, why would any country ever again sign a treaty with us when they realize that the next minute we may choose to break it?
