Hillary links 9/11 and Iraq, just like Bush
Attention focused on Iraq and her vote to authorize the use of force ahead of the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003. Presidential rivals such as former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards now say the vote in support was a mistake.
"There are no do-overs in life," Clinton said. She says Congress received bad information going into the vote and that she would have voted differently given what she knows now.
"As a senator from New York, I lived through 9/11 and I am still dealing with the aftereffects," Clinton said. "I may have a slightly different take on this from some of the other people who will be coming through here."
Disgusting!
Of course, since this was reported by Faux News, it may not accurately reflect what she actually said.

Although that's theoretically accurate, I have a different take on this. I see it as saying that she was more susceptible at the time to the false information on WMDs and possibility of some linkage that Bush and Cheney were drawing then. Seems to me she has made it clear her vote was contingent upon false information, and never would have happened had they been given correct information. But I think she should fall back on the formal meaning of the vote, and that it worked exactly as intended when Saddam finally let Blix in. Many people, including Democrats who made their change of heart in the November 2002-February 2003 time frame -- but made it as firmly as anyone -- will accept that.
