No Humvee armor

This is digusting. We've been in Iraq for just about four years now, and we still can't get the troops the protection they need. It's been more than two years since Rumsfeld said, "You go to war with the Army you've got, not the Army you want."

U.S. Army units in Iraq and Afghanistan lack more than 4,000 of the latest Humvee armor kit, known as FRAG Kit 5, according to U.S. officials. The Army has ramped up production of the armor, giving priority to troops in Baghdad, but the upgrade is not scheduled to be completed until this summer, Army officials said.

Look, in World War II we geared up from a situation where we had almost no standing Army to a massive invasion of Europe and final victory in Japan in a shorter time than it's taken us to get body armor and other protections to our troops in Iraq.

I think a few people should be tried for manslaughter, at the minimum.
