5 U.S. GIs and 4 Brits killed in Iraq

It sure doesn't look to me like things are materially improving in Iraq:

BAGHDAD - A U.S. Army helicopter went down south of Baghdad Thursday, injuring four of the nine soldiers aboard, while five U.S. troops died in separate attacks in Baghdad.
