The prodigal son

I guess I'm missing something. Ex-Bush aide and otherwise unknown Matthew Dowd makes it on to the front page of the New York Times on Sunday for switching sides and getting it right now that it's way too late when people like Paul Krugman, who got it right from the start, doesn't.
