Compromise please, do it my way.

I have to agree with BarbinMD over at Daily Kos who says all this talk about Bush being willing to compromise on "benchmarks" is a bunch of bull tweeties. Bush has been talking about "benchmarks" for months, and everytime one is missed, he chooses to ignore it. There's no ground here for "compromise." It's his way or the highway.
