Keeping the riff-raff out

Currently, British citizens don't need visas to travel to America, but Michael Chertof wants to change that and require visas of all Brits of Pakistani descent. The "white" Brits are perfectly okay, of course.

The American government wants to impose travel restrictions on British citizens of Pakistani origin because of concerns about terrorism, according to a report today.

In talks with the British government, the US homeland security secretary, Michael Chertoff, called for British Pakistanis to apply for a visa before travelling to the US, according to the New York Times.

Perhaps, the UK should retaliate and require all Japanese-Americans (rougly the same portion of the population as Pakis are in the UK) to obtain visas before traveling there. I can't imagine they would complain. After all, we put them all in concentration camps during World War II, and Michelle Malkin thinks that was just fine.
