Not news

White House senior adviser Karl Rove has rebuked a Senate Judiciary Committee subpoena and will not appear Thursday to testify about his role in the firing of nine US Attorneys, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) said late Wednesday.

No surprises here. So what comes next? From the looks of it, Congress is going to get nowhere with criminal contempt citations, since the Justice Department won't pursue them, and the Courts are unlikely to be supportive. That leaves inherent contempt, but the Dems don't seem to have the guts to go there.
