Work the "outside in" approach in Iraq
Very, very interesting analysis -- in the Des Moines Register of all places -- of how to make the best of the very bad situation George Bush and Dick Cheney – supported by Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, David Addington, Douglas Feith, Paul Wolfowitz, William Kristol, John Bolton, Richard Pearle, Fouad Adjami, Judith Miller, Robert Novak, Richard Cohen, Fred Hiatt, and a few score of others who did not as readily come to mind – got us into. It makes the point that our presence cannot help solve anything, but can only keep making it worse. But the only way to get there is to clarify the objective, and then the surrounding states can do what they need (and want) to do to help achieve it.
