Troop casualties and the surge

It turns out that the New York Times, numerous other news outlets, and many pundits may have jumped the gun when they declared July to have the lowest number of troop casualties this year. This site lists 81 casualties in July, the same as February and March, and strikingly more than last July, when there were 43.
