Biden says Petraeus wrong

I hope this means there will be some tangible action taken by the Democrats in Congress, but I'm afraid I doubt it:

WASHINGTON - President Bush's war strategy is failing and the top military commander in Iraq is "dead flat wrong" for warning against major changes, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said Sunday.

Ahead of two days of crucial testimony by Bush's leading military and political advisers on Iraq, Sen. Joseph Biden indicated that he and other Democrats would persist in efforts to set target dates for bringing troops home.

As a military spouse (preparing to send my soldier off to a third deployment in Iraq), it is continually disheartening to hear these politicians who pound their chest about how wrong Iraq is and how it is beyond time to bring our troops home, yet, when it comes down to brass tacks, they hem and haw and make (worthless) excuses about why they can't bring them home NOW.

Yet, I continue to turn blue in the face, holding my breath that a leading light in Congress will actually take and strongly encourage action on the part of their compatriots and do something about this bloody presidency and this bloody war (or wars, as it were).
