Getting tired

Look, I'm getting very tired of hearing over and over again that the Democrats can't do anything about the war because they don't have veto proof majorities in either house and they don't have the 60 votes needed to force cloture in the Senate.

There is one thing they can do without needing any super-majorities. They can refuse to fund the war further. That takes only a simple majority. Refusing to fund the war leaves Bush with nothing to veto.

Unfortunately, the Dems don't have the guts to do this.

Of course, even if they did, Bush might go on spending on the war. What's to stop him except the Constitution? That never stopped him before.
